Self Protection
DEFEND International teaches the self protection techniques developed by, and taught to, the Military and Police in the UK and around the world. DEFEND International instructors are serving members of the British Army and Metropolitan Police, with over twenty years of instructional and operational experience in the fields of unarmed combat, physical intervention, restraint and arrest and conflict resolution.

Our Self Protection Courses are not a ‘Gadget Courses’ nor are they based on a mystical or unrealistic education. We have experienced too many programs being offered which do little to prepare individuals who have real threats of criminal violence. Time and time again we have been called in to replace these ineffective programs of nonviolent crisis intervention. We like to think we bring a common sense approach to teaching techniques that are highly effective because they are based on proven principles and techniques for dealing with violence.
We believe our students must gain personal self-protection skills and confidence from within in order to be able to handle crisis situations with minimal anxiety and maximum security. Our classes and courses will help members deal more safely with the criminal behavior and when it becomes dangerous. Not only will you learn but you will enjoy, tell stories about and take ownership of because it simply makes sense to have a safer more assertive way to protect yourself.
